We are Half Way There!

Well, as the title of this post says...we are HALF WAY!!!! Only approximately 137 days until we meet our little peanut!

Baby R. weighs around 10 1/2 ounces and is approximately 10 inches from head to heel. This week the way baby is measured changes from head to bottom to head to heel. So with the "new" measurement Baby R. is about the size of a large banana.

I continue to feel good, and feel like I have "popped" in the last week or so! There is definitely a round ball protruding from my front side! The only thing that is bothering me is sleeping. Even though I am not that big yet...I am a back or stomach sleeper and BOTH are off limits. So I toss and turn from side to side all night long.

So ice softball was LAST weekend and for some reason "the beard" stuck around until Saturday morning. It has finally disappeared....and I finally have my husband back!

Here is a before picture..
Who do you think he looks like? Moses? Saddam Hussein (when he was pulled out of his hole)?

Drum roll please....
And finally the after! My husband has returned!

Saturday night we headed to Menomonie for a Stout hockey game. I never attended a hockey game in the 4 1/2 years that I attended Stout, and learned that they tailgate before the games. Thank goodness for the ginormous fire, because standing outside 5 months pregnant is NOT my idea of fun...everyone else had a little liquid warmth to help keep them toasty! :)

My other two brothers Matt and Kyle were in town visiting. It was great to see the two of them! Thanks for making the trip.

I kept trying to creep closer to the fire...David was too hot and kept moving away.

It was the first round of playoffs (Stout vs. Stevens Point). Stout won the game Friday night, so they needed to win Saturday night to advance. The first game went into overtime with Stevens Point scoring a goal within the first minute of overtime. Then they played a mini game (20 minutes), which ended in a tie again. In the second 20 minute mini game, Stevens Point scored in the first 45 seconds advancing them to the next round.

Next week is our "big ultrasound". We will NOT be finding out what baby is, but we are excited to see him/her moving and kicking!

Girls Weekend!

Last weekend we helped my bother and sister-in-law celebrate their 1st anniversary! Here they are with a few little gifts and big smiles...filled with love! To many more!

This Valentine's weekend brought 5 of my wonderful friends (some since the age of 4) to my house for a girls weekend! Even though we no longer live in the same city we make sure to get together about every 6 months, no husbands or kids...just the girls. Beth traveled from Milwaukee, Liza and Shelly from Green Bay, Chloe from DePere and Megan from Spruce. Thanks for making the trip over, it was so great to see everyone and to catch up!

We have a traveling pink flamingo that gets passed from girl to girl as they get married. Beth is the current "owner" of the flamingo and made sure that it made the trip! It was perched in the front window ALL weekend!

Girls weekend is a very relaxing weekend filled with food, sleeping, food, catching up, did I mention food and of course lots and lots of laughter!

Beth and Liza in a very common position...lounging on the couch!

Megan and Shelly snuggling! Watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

Of course Paisley joined in on the girls weekend, here she is giving Chloe a "hug".

Saturday afternoon we decided to get off the couch and go to a movie. We got dressed and enjoyed an afternoon at the movies and then dinner at Manny's!

Chloe and I have shared a lot in our lives and now we are experiencing pregnancy together. Chloe is due June 14th with her second, she already has an adorable son Jace! Here we are belly to belly.

Here we all are! From left to right: Chloe, Shelly, Liza, Beth, Megan and me!

Dinner at Manny's (a fun Mexican restaurant), don't worry they were NON-Alcoholic margaritas!

Shelly and Liza finishing off a bottle of wine...nice work ladies!

Shelly, Liza, Megan and Beth left Sunday morning and Chloe stayed until Monday. Chloe and I decided to venture to Woodbury MN and hit up the gap maternity store!

Thanks again ladies for making the trip!

David was off in Menomonie with all of the "baseball guys" reunited to play ice softball. He had a fun weekend...to say the least. Here is how he spent his Sunday!

As I mentioned in the previous post, the beard is suppose to disappear now that ice softball is done...I will be sure to post a picture when it finally goes away!

Baby Update:

We are currently 19 weeks pregnant...almost 1/2 way. We have our "big" ultra sound on February 25th. Even though we will turn our heads if and when we are able to tell if it is girl/boy; we are still very excited to see our little peanut again! It seems like so long ago that we had the first (unplanned) ultra sound.

Some big news...I have now felt Baby Rueber move two different times (I think). It was a crazy feeling and made me cry the first time I felt it! I am so excited to feel him/her more and more as he/she gets bigger!

Baby R. weighs approximately 8 1/2 ounces and is about 6 inches from head to bottom, about the size of a large tomato. Hair is starting to sprout on his/her head. Those of you that know my husband, know that we will have a baby will a FULL head of hair, so I am sure by now it can almost be put into a pony tail! :)

Look for a post in two weeks, we will have new pictures of our little peanut!
